Role Overview
Lead multidisciplinary delivery pods for a major Central Government Service Transformation Programme.
The programme focuses on operational efficiency, productivity, cost reduction, and digitising critical business processes.
Pods design, build, and deploy low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, GOV.UK services, and no-code or low-code forms technologies.
The initial assignment runs through March 2027, with potential extension as discovery and delivery workstreams are added.
The role is predominantly remote; occasional travel may be required for collaboration events and workshops.

Programme and role

Responsibilities
- Lead Agile delivery pods and manage end-to-end delivery across multiple workstreams, including scope, schedules, risks, and dependencies.
- Work with analysts, developers, architects, and client stakeholders to define and prioritise objectives; facilitate Agile ceremonies.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and report progress to programme leadership.
- Support Power Platform and workflow automation delivery; coordinate pods and technical assurance teams.
- Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies; ensure governance, security, accessibility, and quality requirements are met.
- Coordinate deployment, transition, and release activities; support resource planning, forecasting, and capacity management.
- Promote continuous improvement and service optimisation; contribute to reporting, benefits realisation, and governance forums.
Required experience
- At least 5 years delivering digital transformation, business change, or technology-enabled programmes.
- Proven experience leading Agile delivery teams in complex organisations and managing multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Experience delivering low-code, automation, workflow, or digital service solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and delivery plans.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and iterative delivery; able to work in fast-paced, evolving programmes.
- Experience producing delivery reports, governance updates, and programme communications.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making; able to balance strategic goals and daily execution.
Desirable experience
- Government or public sector delivery, GOV.UK standards, Power Platform and automation, process improvement, or service optimisation experience.
- Large-scale transformation, case management, workflow, service automation, programme governance, benefits management, or portfolio reporting experience.
- Experience managing multiple Agile teams or workstreams; relevant Agile, Scrum Master, PRINCE2, MSP, or delivery management certifications.
- Awareness of accessibility and user-centred design.
