Seeking a commercially driven Deal Origination Manager to identify investment opportunities, develop a deal pipeline, and build relationships supporting investment growth and corporate development.
The role leads sourcing initiatives, evaluates prospective transactions, builds market networks, and collaborates with investment teams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop deal origination strategies aligned with investment and corporate development objectives.
- Source investment opportunities, acquisition targets, strategic investments, and joint ventures.
- Build relationships with business owners, founders, investors, intermediaries, financial advisers, and strategic partners.
- Manage a structured pipeline of prospective transactions and opportunities.
- Screen target companies, business models, market potential, and financial performance.
- Conduct market mapping, industry research, and competitive analysis.
- Prepare investment teasers, opportunity summaries, preliminary assessments, and management presentations.
- Coordinate initial discussions, stakeholder introductions, and transaction qualification.
- Work with Investment, Corporate Finance, Legal, and Strategy teams to advance qualified opportunities.
- Track pipeline progress, conversion rates, transaction milestones, and origination KPIs.
- Identify market trends and develop new sourcing channels.
- Present qualified opportunities and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in deal origination, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or business development.
- Strong understanding of investment analysis, transaction processes, and financial fundamentals.
- Strong networking, relationship-building, negotiation, commercial judgment, analytical thinking, and opportunity assessment capabilities.
- Experience managing deal pipelines, sourcing transactions, or developing strategic partnerships.
- Proficiency in financial research tools, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- An MBA, CFA, or relevant professional qualification is advantageous.
- M&A, private capital markets, or cross-border transaction experience is an added advantage.
