Overview
- Operate and monitor the DCS during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities, including loop checks, functional testing, SAT, and system verification.
- Coordinate with field technicians, ICSS vendors, and Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping teams to execute loop testing, resolve system issues, and support field commissioning activities.
- Verify and update engineering documents, including Instrument Loop Diagrams (ILDs), Alarm Objective Analysis (AOA), datasheets, control logic and commissioning records to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor, test, and validate alarms, control loops, software and hardware modifications, while identifying, troubleshooting and reporting operational issues to supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with company SHES requirements, permit-to-work procedures, and maintain accurate progress reports, loop folders, and commissioning documentation.
Requirements
- Must have a Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably as a DCS/Board Operator or Commissioning Operator.
- Strong knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), PLCs, HMI operations, and ICSS systems.
- Experience in commissioning activities including loop checks, functional testing, alarm testing, and plant startup support.
- strong understanding of safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
