Role Objective

Support development and implementation of the bank’s Data Privacy Program, data compliance, and staff training in coordination with stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor compliance with applicable data privacy and protection regulations; advise business units on privacy, data protection, and handling personal data.
- Provide senior management, including the CRO or CEO, at least annual updates on privacy activities, compliance status, key issues, and matters requiring attention.
- Develop, implement, update, and maintain the bank’s data privacy policies, procedures, and notices with relevant stakeholders.
- Support Data Privacy Champions and stakeholders in maintaining and updating Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs).
- Conduct Data Privacy Impact Assessments for processes involving staff, customer, vendor, or other personal data.
- Coordinate compliance of business processes and information assets containing personal data with internal privacy policies and procedures.
- Establish processes to identify, assess, remediate, monitor, and report privacy risks and incidents; perform systematic audits.
- Review privacy requests and queries, including customer rights fulfillment and data sharing.
- Conduct monthly staff privacy awareness training and periodic communications.
- Support the bank’s Data Privacy strategy, implementation of audit, risk, and compliance controls, and relevant RCSAs and Vendor Risk Assessments.
Education and Experience
- University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or another related discipline.
- 6–10 years of total experience in financial services or banking, with responsibilities in the relevant discipline.
- Previous experience in data privacy, data protection, or data compliance in the financial services industry.
