Data and AI Technology Engineering builds data and AI products supporting BMO's digital-first, risk, regulatory, and compliance needs.
The team collaborates across the bank on initiatives that help partners solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
What you will do
- Plan, design, develop, test, implement, document, and support data and AI products.
- Translate functional and non-functional business requirements into products with business stakeholders.
- Develop technical designs aligned with standards and roadmaps; identify, track, and regression-test defects.
- Improve delivery and deployment processes; build frameworks, automation scripts, and reusable code.
- Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and build communities of practice.
Must-have qualifications
- Two years of relevant experience and IT education and/or certifications.
- Hands-on ETL/ELT development and testing, data warehousing, SQL, NoSQL, Python, Spark, and Scala.
- Experience with SSIS, Glue, AWS or Azure cloud storage and compute, Hadoop, and Netezza.
- Experience with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured batch and streaming data.
- Experience in data analysis, mapping, profiling, AI concepts, generative AI, prompt engineering, RAG, AI-enabled SDLC tools, Agile delivery, and JIRA.
Nice-to-have qualifications
- Experience in a large enterprise, interacting with senior leaders, or working in a highly regulated industry is nice to have.
Compensation
- Published salary range is $55,500–$120,000; pay type is salaried, with no salary cadence stated.
