Provides operational ownership and hands-on management of mechanical, electrical, and other critical infrastructure across Amazon's India data centers.

Operations and maintenance
- Own data center changes, events, incidents, and problems through completion, including post-mortems, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
- Plan and oversee maintenance and repairs of site-critical facility infrastructure.
- Manage assets and inventory and maintain technical procedures, emergency plans, preventive maintenance programs, and documentation.
- Manage financial and cost controls, compliance, personnel, staff training, health and safety, environmental matters, and energy programs.
- Provide hands-on support such as equipment installation, decommissioning, replacement, and internal audits.
- Prepare engineering reports and ensure contracted deliverables, SLAs, and KPIs are met.
Incident and compliance response
- Review incident reports, summarize trends, and recommend actions to management.
- Manage information flow and provide management updates during incidents.
- Coordinate vendors during emergencies and attend sites when dispatched to investigate and resolve issues.
- Support safe, secure 24x7 shift operations without affecting availability.
- Oversee compliance audits, corrective-action closeout, and annual operational reviews.
Schedule and coordination
- The position requires 24x7 on-call availability, scheduled weekend work, and rotational shifts.
- The role may require physical dispatch to a data center site during an emergency.
- Coordinate with landlords, critical facility vendors, construction and operations teams, technical program managers, security, and logistics.
Work setting
- The role supports data centers in India; the specific location will be discussed and may be one of several locations.
- Hands-on facility support and possible site dispatch are part of the work.
