Data Center Electrical Systems Engineer

Role overview

What you’ll do

• Lead technical engineering work for LV, MV, UPS, energy storage, and other applicable data center electrical systems.
• Conduct engineering analyses, recommend system and process improvements, and support vendor approvals for programmatic buys.
• Provide ad hoc system design support to customers and collaborate across design, bid, engineering, operations, and business teams.
• Monitor industry trends and improve electrical design and implementation processes.
• Work with local authorities to ensure compliance with IEC and EU requirements and building codes.
• Define project scope and support information requests before and during construction.
• Represent Eaton as an industry solutions expert and build relationships with clients, consultants, partners, and peers.
• Support marketing campaigns and activities promoting Eaton to clients and business partners.
• Handle concurrent projects and support site reviews, engineering evaluations, electrical audits, and startup as needed.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
• More than 5 years of experience in data center systems design engineering.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities; customer-oriented mindset and strong technical advisory approach.
• Familiarity and experience working to NFPA 70 and UL design standards is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
