Role Overview
Lead a small delivery pod building modern data platforms on Microsoft Fabric and Azure for global clients.

The role is an entry point into a Data Architect track with potential to own platform architecture across multiple accounts.

Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end lakehouse and medallion architectures on Microsoft Fabric.
- Own storage, ingestion, orchestration, incremental loading, capacity, and cost-performance decisions.
- Lead 3–6 data engineers and BI developers through planning, reviews, and quality gates.
- Translate client requirements into architecture and estimates and support discovery and technical presales.
- Implement governance and security, including RBAC, row-level security, sensitivity labels, lineage, cataloguing, and data quality.
- Set up CI/CD and environment promotion with Fabric deployment pipelines, Git, and Azure DevOps.
- Establish engineering standards and mentor engineers through capability building, POCs, and reusable accelerators.
Must-Have Requirements
- 8–10 years in data engineering or analytics and at least 2 years of production Microsoft Fabric experience.
- Strong Azure data stack experience covering Data Factory or Synapse, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Key Vault, and networking basics.
- Advanced SQL, Python/PySpark, dimensional modeling, and Power BI semantic modeling skills.
- Data governance experience with Microsoft Purview, Atlan, or Collibra.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, code review experience, and delivery-quality ownership.
- Clear written and spoken English with confidence presenting designs to client architects.
Preferred Skills
- Databricks or Snowflake experience with Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, or dbt.
- Experience with dbt, Dagster, or similar transformation and orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with streaming, migrations, Fabric Copilot, Data Agents, or AI-on-lakehouse patterns.
- DP-600, DP-700, DP-203, or Azure Solutions Architect certification.
Working Style

Explain technical trade-offs in business terms.
Ask clarifying questions when client requirements are incomplete.
