Design, govern, and optimize enterprise-scale Data, Big Data, Analytics, and AI platforms for a large enterprise client in the UAE.
Define scalable data architectures, governance standards, and AI-ready data foundations across on-premises and distributed environments.
Key responsibilities
- Design Data Lakes, Lakehouses, Data Warehouses, Data Marts, and Big Data platforms.
- Build conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Define architecture standards for data ingestion, integration, transformation, and orchestration.
- Set up governance, quality, lineage, metadata, MDM, and Single Source of Truth frameworks.
- Design data foundations for AI/ML, GenAI, RAG, vector stores, knowledge graphs, and MLOps.
- Lead architecture reviews and define enterprise reference architectures.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Data or Big Data Architecture; the posting also lists eight years of Big Data Architecture experience as required.
- Strong background with enterprise on-premises data platforms and hands-on experience with distributed processing and large-scale data platforms.
- Working knowledge of Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Iceberg, Trino, Flink, and relational or NoSQL databases.
- Willingness to relocate to the UAE immediately for a one-year onsite assignment.
Good to have
- Experience with Collibra, Alation, Ataccama, Informatica, or OpenLineage is desirable.
Contract and assignment
- Contract for one year, with a strong chance of extension.
