Data Analytics Analyst supporting analytics, visualization, and operational decision-making using meteorological and geospatial datasets.

Responsibilities
- Analyze and process large weather datasets from numerical prediction models, satellite imagery, and weather stations.
- Optimize processing performance, SQL queries, and visualizations, including work with large raster and geospatial data.
- Troubleshoot data quality, ingestion, and pipeline issues; support products from development through operations.
- Identify weather variables relevant to utility operations and translate business questions into analytical datasets.
- Collaborate with data engineers and subject-matter experts; maintain accuracy, reliability, and documentation.
Required qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional data analytics or data science experience using meteorological data.
- Experience with large, complex cloud datasets and guiding analytical products into operations.
- Strong SQL, including joins, CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.
- Understanding of meteorological variables and numerical weather prediction outputs.
- Strong data visualization, performance, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Atmospheric science, meteorology, earth science, or related background; strong Python experience.
- Experience with GRIB, GeoTIFF, NetCDF, Zarr, geospatial data, or spatial indexing.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, parallel processing, Git, governance, utility or regulated industries, or operational and time-series data.
