Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructure supporting Smart Utility Metering platforms.
- Build and manage robust data pipelines integrating multiple data sources into centralized metering systems.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, consistency, availability, and performance for analytics and monitoring teams.
- Design, optimize, and maintain databases capable of handling large-scale utility metering data.
- Support both real-time and batch data processing requirements.
- Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and operations teams to ensure secure and reliable data flow across systems.
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve data pipeline issues, bottlenecks, and failures.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture, workflows, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, information security standards, and ISO requirements.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning for data platforms.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- **Cloud/Data Engineering certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage.**
Experience
- Minimum 9 years of experience in data engineering or similar technical roles.
Key Skills
- Strong expertise in data pipeline design and development.
- Proficiency in databases and big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and system optimization capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
