Role overview

Responsibilities

• Support data integration, warehousing and business intelligence; maintain ELT ingestion processes and build scalable pipelines and orchestration workflows.
• Support data loading and change data capture, and monitor data quality, integrity and performance.
• Maintain medallion architecture layers for structured and semi-structured data; develop modelling and transformation logic to improve data quality, usability and accessibility.
• Translate stakeholder analytical requirements into technical solutions and create and maintain IT systems documentation.
• Review technology offerings, manage projects through their lifecycle, implement solutions and train technology teams with documentation and walkthroughs.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, SOX and security policies; troubleshoot incidents, perform security tests, resolve data issues and produce root-cause analysis reports.
• Respond to ad hoc business requests, support systems outside usual business hours when needed, travel to business sites or partner premises when required, and keep abreast of IT developments.

Required experience and qualifications

• Proven experience in data activities and experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, OneLake and Spark.
• Knowledge of DataFrames, partitioning, performance tuning, notebook development, Spark SQL, Delta Tables, data modelling and semantic models.
• Good customer service, communication and teamwork skills.
• A current UK driving licence is stated as needed for the role.

Desirable experience and qualifications

• Desirable experience includes Power BI, Azure Data Factory, promotion and release management, CI/CD pipelines and Git-based integration.
• Global organization experience and experience in sports, entertainment or major events are desirable.
• A degree, HND/C in an IT-related subject, industry-recognized qualification or relevant certification is not essential and may be held.

Working hours

• The role may require work on IT systems outside usual business hours, both planned and unplanned.

Travel

• Travel to Formula 1 business sites and partner premises may be required.
