Dance Academy Manager

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coach dance teachers and set expectations for teaching quality, student experience, and commercial performance.
• Develop progressive curricula and class programmes for different ages, abilities, and dance disciplines; maintain consistent teaching and assessment standards.
• Monitor enrolment, attendance, progress, and withdrawals, and work with teachers and Front Desk teams to improve retention.
• Plan classes and teacher deployment with branch teams to make effective use of teaching hours and studio capacity.
• Coordinate RAD examination preparation, readiness assessments, and entries; support other examination pathways where offered.
• Organise showcases and recitals with operational teams and communicate with families.
• Support growth through class proposals, trial-to-enrolment conversion, and partnerships with Marketing and branch teams.
• Maintain safe, inclusive teaching practices and escalate student welfare or safeguarding concerns through company procedures.

Experience and qualifications

• Dance teaching experience with responsibility for coaching teachers, leading a programme, or managing an academy team.
• RAD certification is required, along with experience preparing students for RAD examinations.
• Experience developing curricula, assessing student progression, and delivering recitals or showcases.
