Role overview

Johnstone Supply's D365 Finance Technical Specialist will support an ERP transformation in partnership with Accounting, FP&A, and Finance leadership.

The role translates finance and record-to-report needs into scalable, compliant Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations configurations.

The role has no direct reports but leads initiatives and provides direction across functions.

Finance solution design and delivery

  • Configure finance capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, asset leasing, budgeting, tax, period close, and cash and bank management.
  • Design and implement configurations, customizations, extensions, and integrations in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop technical specifications and solutions.
  • Perform fit/gap analysis, recommend best practices, oversee end-user training, and deploy ERP solutions.
  • Work with implementers, developers, and architects on robust, scalable solutions aligned with D365 best practices.

Support and testing

  • Provide advanced D365 F&O functional support and troubleshoot functionality, performance, and integration issues.
  • Facilitate unit testing and user acceptance testing, resolve test failures, and build automated tests.
  • Document technical specifications, solutions, and code changes.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, ten or more years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
