Role overview
The Cybersecurity Engineer joins the Managed Services team to support the ongoing security of the IT environment.
The role focuses on hands-on monitoring, incident response, and day-to-day security operations to keep systems protected and stable.
The engineer works with internal IT teams and external vendors and may travel to customer sites when required.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and support remediation.
- Run security operations across firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, and access controls.
- Support SIEM, EDR, anti-virus, and intrusion detection or prevention systems.
- Work with internal IT teams and external vendors; provide desktop and end-user support as needed.
- Travel to customer sites when required.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in cybersecurity support, managed services, or IT security roles.
- Basic understanding of network security, firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, and access controls.
- Understanding of SIEM, EDR, anti-virus, and intrusion detection or prevention systems.
- Ability to monitor alerts, investigate incidents, and support remediation; understanding of security frameworks, compliance, and industry best practices.
- Ability to collaborate with IT teams and external vendors; strong troubleshooting skills and practical problem-solving approach.
- Good general technical knowledge, including desktop support.
Advantage
- Working knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM) concepts and tools is an advantage.
