Job Title

Customs Specialist — Customs Clearance & Freight Sales

Employment Type

Full-time – On-site (Riyadh office)

Compensation

Fixed base salary + commission on closed contracts

Role Purpose

To attract new clients and close customs clearance and freight contracts (air, land, and sea) for the company, building a sustainable client base of import and export companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attract air, land, and sea freight clients and convert them into signed customs clearance contracts.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: inquiry → introductory meeting → quotation → contract → start of work.
  • Prepare competitive quotations and negotiate with clients through to closing.
  • Build and manage a renewable sales pipeline and achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Activate and expand a network of relationships with import/export companies and freight & transport companies.
  • Monitor the market and competitors and identify new opportunities in the freight and customs clearance sector.
  • Submit regular reports on client status and deal stages.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in customs clearance, freight, or logistics sales.
  • Knowledge of customs procedures, transport procedures, and customs service pricing.
  • Familiarity with the FASAH platform, ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority) procedures, and the SABER platform and conformity certificates for imported goods.
  • Familiarity with Incoterms, HS Code classification, and core shipping documents (bill of lading, certificate of origin, commercial invoice, packing list).
  • Knowledge of bonded warehouses and the main Saudi ports and border crossings.
  • Strong, active relationships with import/export companies and freight & transport companies.

Personal Skills

  • Professional negotiation, persuasion, and presentation skills, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets and closing contracts.
  • Fluency in Arabic; English is essential for dealing with international agents and freight companies.
  • Able to work full-time on-site in Riyadh.
