Role overview
The Reliability Engineer provides customer-site support through failure analyses and reliability assessments of rotating equipment, particularly sealing systems.
The role identifies reliability improvements, troubleshoots equipment, and conducts structured root cause analyses.
Responsibilities
- Analyze rotating equipment reliability and sealing-system performance; lead root cause investigations from site assessment and data collection through recommendations and customer presentations.
- Troubleshoot field equipment, diagnose issues, develop corrective actions, and implement solutions with customers.
- Provide technical support, measurements, installation, commissioning, inspections, and maintenance assistance at customer sites.
- Assist with installation, dismantling, inspection, and assembly of mechanical seals and related equipment.
- Follow company procedures, quality requirements, and safety policies, and maintain strong customer relationships.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- At least five years of experience with rotating equipment and sealing systems, with a focus on maintenance, reliability, and asset performance improvement.
- Understanding of industrial plant operations, work management systems, turnaround planning, maintenance planning, and scheduling.
- Experience in proactive, multinational, and multicultural environments, with strong knowledge of rotating equipment reliability and maintenance best practices.
Languages and preferred qualifications
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the John Crane product portfolio is advantageous.
- Certifications such as Vibration Analysis, Machinery Lubrication, Thermography, CRE, or CMRP are highly desirable.
