The client is recruiting a Credit Controller for reinsurance operations, based from its Abu Dhabi office.
Credit control and accounting operations
- Support credit control and payables management, cash controls, and balancing daily cash postings to the general ledger.
- Manage daily credit control activities, schedule and delegate work, log collections, and maintain financial records.
- Monitor insurance and reinsurance accounts for non-payments, delays, and irregularities.
- Supervise, train, and develop associates; manage the reconciliation team and support reconciliation, collection, and reinsurance settlement work.
- Review periodic reconciliations, resolve variances, and reconcile accounts receivable, inter-company finance charges, and customer refunds.
- Ensure timely reinsurance settlements after premium collection and proper posting of inter-company cash transfers.
- Balance daily transaction information with accounts receivable uploads and general ledger postings.
- Assist with external audit information; review journal entries and balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
- Support management reporting and monthly close; supervise month-end and year-end accounting procedures.
Qualifications and experience
- Must be working in an insurance company.
- Requires 4–6 years of reinsurance operations experience.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree.
- Requires full professional proficiency in English.
