Recruiting a Civil Engineer for substation construction projects in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

The role includes night-shift supervision and coordination with subcontractors, consultants, client representatives, QA/QC, and HSE teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage night-shift civil construction and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and permits.
- Coordinate subcontractors, surveyors, QA/QC staff, and HSE teams; track progress and productivity against schedule.
- Maintain quality, safety, and environmental compliance and coordinate continuity with the day-shift team.
- Submit daily progress, manpower, equipment, site-issue, and resource reports.
- Liaise with TAQA, EDF, consultants, client representatives, and project management teams.
- Resolve site execution issues and monitor milestones and deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5–10 years of relevant civil construction experience, preferably on substation or similar utility infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing civil works, subcontractors, quality control, and HSE compliance.
- Familiarity with UAE utility projects and coordination with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and permit-to-work requirements.
- TAQA Competency Certification as Civil Engineer is stated as “preferred/required”; mandatory status is unclear.
- Candidate backgrounds may include power utility, electrical substation, transmission and distribution, EPC high-voltage substation, utility infrastructure, or energy projects.
Shift
- Civil construction supervision is required during the night shift, with handover coordination with the day-shift team.
