Credit Controller role in Wärtsilä’s Energy Credit Control team, combining credit-management and collection tasks. Duties may be adjusted based on the successful candidate’s skills and interests.
Responsibilities
- Collect due and overdue invoices and pursue debt by telephone, email, and letter.
- Ensure timely collection across the assigned customer base; monitor payment behavior and escalate queries.
- Allocate customer payments according to remittances and monitor valid customer credit limits.
- Support sales with credit-management issues and process quotations, orders, credit notes, return orders, and invoicing.
- Liaise with sales and internal stakeholders to resolve disputes and non-payment.
- Provide month-end and ad hoc stakeholder reporting and work toward monthly and annual collection targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in a credit-control environment and sound financial knowledge.
- Fluent English; Chinese proficiency is an advantage.
- Personable, confident, and able to build and maintain working relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail, a methodical approach, and strong communication skills.
- Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office proficiency; SAP experience is advantageous.
Location
