Key responsibilities
- Assist with trading-desk credit facilities and financial lines, including credit and cash flow processes.
- Provide data and analysis to help set trading-desk risk appetite and coordinate cash flow with operations and finance.
- Assess customers and suppliers periodically and on an ad hoc basis; work with traders to support timely customer payments.
- Perform compliance checks and ensure alignment with relevant regulations.
- Provide portfolio and segment analytics for monitoring and policy adjustments.
- Prepare Credit Risk Reporting, Portfolio Quality Review, and other requested reports.
- Assess business risks and follow policy and process to safeguard the company, clients, and assets.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or a related field.
- Mandatory prior experience in a bunker trading house, shipping company, or credit rating agency specialized in shipping.
- Strong understanding of credit management and cash flow processes.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and credit and risk management tools.
- Knowledge of shipping operations, international trade, and trade credit insurance.
