Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site

Cost Engineer And Quantity Surveyor

role based in Abu Dhabi.

The position involves preparing and reviewing cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

The role includes monitoring project costs, tracking variations, and conducting cost analyses to support decision-making and maintain budgetary control.

The Cost Engineer / Quantity Surveyor will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams, evaluate contractor claims, and assist in tender preparation and evaluation.

The role also requires maintaining up-to-date cost records, supporting value engineering initiatives, and contributing to project financial forecasts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory), Construction Economics, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably within a General Contracting or EPC company on industrial or infrastructure projects in UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of cost estimation methodologies, BOQ preparation, unit rates, and productivity norms specific to contracting environments.
  • Proven experience in budget formation and financial control of subcontractors, including comparison of market rates and verification of executed volumes.
  • Experience in tendering and procurement processes, contract evaluation, and administration (including FIDIC-based contracts).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced level, including pivot tables and cost analysis), AutoCAD (for drawing review and quantity take-off), and cost-control software (advantage).
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills; ability to communicate effectively with technical, financial, and management teams.
  • Fluent in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher).
