We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Cost Controller to join our hospitality team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing all food & beverage costs to ensure profitability while maintaining quality standards across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily food & beverage costs across all outlets and operations
- Control inventory movement, stock levels, and purchasing accuracy
- Conduct regular stock counts (weekly/monthly) and reconcile variances
- Analyze cost of sales, wastage, and operational inefficiencies
- Prepare detailed reports on food cost percentage, beverage cost, and overall consumption
- Ensure recipe costing, portion control, and pricing accuracy are consistently followed
- Work closely with chefs, baristas, and procurement teams to control expenses
- Review supplier invoices, delivery notes, and pricing consistency
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support menu engineering decisions
- Maintain accurate records for audits and internal reporting
**Requirements**
✅ Proven experience as a Cost Controller in F&B, restaurant, café, or hospitality industry
✅ Strong understanding of food costing, inventory control, and stock management systems
✅ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
✅ Advanced Excel skills and ability to prepare detailed reports
✅ Knowledge of POS/ERP systems is an advantage
✅ Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
✅ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred
- Experience in specialty coffee shops, cafés, or multi-outlet hospitality brands
- Familiarity with recipe costing systems and menu engineering
- Experience working with procurement and operations teams
