Corporate Associate - M&A: 260728

Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP is seeking an Associate with 5-7 years of law firm experience to work with its Mergers & Acquisitions team within the Corporate practice group in our Chicago office.

We are looking to add a team member with broad experience in M&A, private equity transactions, private investments, complex restructurings, joint ventures, and other transactions.

The candidate should be comfortable in a collaborative environment working with colleagues locally, across the US, and across the world.

The Associate will join an active practice that represents clients in national and international transactions across a wide range of industries and sectors, including manufacturing, technology, telecommunications, energy, timber, water and other natural resources, and financial services.

• Five to seven years of law firm experience primarily focused on M&A and related transactions.
• Experience leading M&A deals from inception through closing, including serving as the lead draftsperson for the primary transaction documents.
• Experience managing multiple deals simultaneously.
• Experience interacting with clients and opposing counsel.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary and cross-border teams on transactions and broader commercial matters.

The Associate position requires in-office presence three days per week.

The salary is commensurate with years of relevant experience & geographic location.

The salary range for our Associate position is $365,000-420,000.
