Job Purpose
Oversee the efficient operation of land freight activities within the Logistics Cluster.
This role involves managing vehicle arrangements, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining accurate records to support the logistics team.
Core Responsibilities
- Arrange vehicles upon request, ensuring they meet the required specifications.
- Inform drivers of their tasks, provide correct information, and follow up to ensure timely reporting.
- Obtain clear information about transportation needs before arranging vehicles.
- Minimize vehicle idle time, increase trip frequency, and ensure timely submission of driver incentives and job closures.
- Plan transportation routes, select modes of transport, and track shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Work closely with service providers to ensure efficient execution of transportation processes and on-time delivery.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics, working schedules, and monitor delivery schedules.
- Respond to customer inquiries, follow up on deliveries, and handle complaints efficiently.
- Ensure timely renewal of required permissions and certifications for drivers and vehicles.
- Maintain vehicle asset records, monitor fuel costs, and prepare accurate reports on vehicle movements and performance.
- Bachelor or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or business administration are a plus.
- Work experience required: 3 -4 years working experience in logistics or supply chain
- Ability to work flexible hours and in shifts required.
- Team player who can earn respect and is comfortable working in results-oriented environment.

- al and Technical Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or business administration are a plus.
Language Skills
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills and basic communication on English is required.

- Work experience required: 3 -4 years working experience in logistics or supply chain
- Ability to work flexible hours and in shifts required.
- Team player who can earn respect and is comfortable working in results-oriented environment.
- Nature of Experience:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems or logistics software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards.
