About the International Office
Delivering global ambitions of the UAE’s leadership, the ADPG senior management envisioned the creation of international offices.
The International Office is a business unit of AD Ports Group (ADPG) to accelerate its expansion globally, supporting the growth synergy and focuses on developing projects that support the five pillars of ADPG, the 5 business clusters namely Ports, Maritime, Logistics, Digital and ECFZ.
Beginning with exploring growth opportunities, ensuring due diligence, and developing project opportunities that triggers growth patterns for all clusters and thus ensuring a balanced growth structure for the whole company and the wider economy of this country.
International Office currently spreads in 3 main geographical regions – Africa, Middle East, and Central Asia.
ADPG now has presence in almost 40 plus countries.
Some well-established operations, some developing projects and some markets are just opening.
International Office (IO) acts as the Central bolt connecting these 5 clusters, bringing them together for projects that benefit the overall growth of trade and industry in these regions.
Job Purpose
The Director of Business Planning & Development for the Central Asia & Eastern Europe (CIS) region will spearhead the strategic initiatives, planning, and identifying business development opportunities for driving revenue growth and expanding ADPG's presence in Central Asia & Eastern Europe Region.
This role involves leading market research, competitive analysis, business planning, forging partnerships and leading projects that enhance the company's presence and operations in the CIS region.
The Director will work closely with senior management to formulate and implement business strategies.

Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive business plans and strategies to achieve the company’s growth objectives in the targeted regions.
• Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities and competitive landscape.
- Analyze data to inform business decisions and provide strategic recommendations.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and shifts to proactively manage potential impacts on the company.
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures and expansion projects to enhance the company’s market position.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, port authorities and potential clients.
- Project Leadership:
- Lead and manage major business development projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and successful implementation.
- Financial Management:
- Develop financial models and projections to support business planning and decision making.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for business development initiatives, ensuring financial viability and alignment with business objectives.
- Provide cross-functional support in clarifying, validating and understanding implications of assumptions on business/financial model.
- Own, lead and or support the submission of the investment proposals to the Investment Committee and its approval.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all business activities comply with regional regulations and AD Ports company standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
Technical Qualifications
- :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field, Master's degree preferred.
- Professional certifications in Project Management (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Port, Maritime, and Logistics operations, including industry regulations and best practices.
- Experience with financial modelling, analytics, and data visualization methodologies and tools.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment
- Financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and financial analysis.
Language Skills
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Arabic is imperative for effective communication with local stakeholders.
- Years of Experience:
- 15+ years of progressive experience in Business Planning, Business Development and Project Management, with a focus on complex projects within the Port, Maritime, and Logistics sector.
- With at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
