Food preparation and cooking
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
- Prepare and cook food, including cold foods, according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test food doneness and monitor food quality.
- Set up and break down the work station and serve food in proper portions and receptacles.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment; check appliance and food temperatures.
Safety, teamwork, and physical duties
- Follow safety and security procedures, complete safety training, and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and meet quality standards.
- Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, and support team goals; perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
- Work may require extended standing, sitting, or walking; bending, twisting, reaching, and moving objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 1 year of related work experience.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required; no license or certification is specified.
