Food preparation and cooking
- Prepare, portion, chop, wash, peel, measure, mix, and store ingredients.
- Cook food, including cold foods, according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test doneness and monitor food quality.
- Set up and break down the workstation, and serve appropriate portions in suitable containers.
- Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment; check appliance and food temperatures.
Safety and teamwork
- Follow company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
- Complete safety training, maintain a clean professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and communicate professionally.
- Maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, respond appropriately to colleagues, and meet quality standards.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications and physical demands
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least one year of related work experience is preferred; no supervisory experience or license or certification is specified.
- The role involves extended standing, sitting, or walking, along with bending, twisting, reaching, and stooping.
- Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
