esponsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of dishes according to AMWAJ’s standards and menu specifications.
This full-time, on-site role in Qatar involves following food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring consistent portioning and quality.
The Cook will assist with menu planning, ingredient preparation, and inventory checks, while coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods.
The role includes proper storage and rotation of food items, adherence to HSE procedures, and support in training and guiding junior kitchen team members.
The Cook is expected to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by operational needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook or with Tagalog Cuisines
- Willing to be assigned in Ras Laffan
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and portion control for diverse menus.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, HSE practices, and proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and maintain high-quality output under time constraints.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Basic numeracy and organizational skills for stock control, labelling, and kitchen documentation.
- Relevant culinary training, certificate, or diploma is preferred; additional training in industrial catering or hospitality is an advantage.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to comply with company and site-specific safety requirements.
