Contracts Manager supporting KBR's Abu Dhabi PMC team on a major ADNOC Offshore project.
The role is based at either the client's office or the contractor's office in Abu Dhabi.
Responsible for administration, management, and governance of project contractual and commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Contract and commercial management
- Lead administration of EPC, procurement, consultancy, and service contracts; ensure compliance; interpret contract provisions; and monitor contractor performance.
- Manage contractual correspondence, records, procedures, controls, contractor submissions, decisions, approvals, amendments, variations, change orders, registers, and reporting systems.
- Protect commercial interests, assess project-change implications, support cost and project controls, review contractor commercial proposals, and participate in negotiations and settlements.
- Assess contractor claims, counterclaims, and disputes; review entitlement, substantiation, and validity; prepare analyses and recommendations; and coordinate with legal advisors as needed.
- Manage change control, evaluate variations, document and approve changes under project procedures, and monitor cumulative cost and schedule effects.
- Support tenders, bid evaluations, award recommendations, contract reviews, bidder clarification meetings, commercial evaluations, and compliance with ADNOC procurement policies.
- Identify contractual risks, develop mitigation strategies, maintain risk registers, and advise project leadership about exposure and liabilities.
- Coordinate with ADNOC Offshore, PMC teams, EPC contractors, and suppliers; support negotiations and facilitate resolution of commercial and contractual issues.
- Participate in project review meetings and management presentations.
