Core Responsibilities
- **Food Preparation:** Prepare authentic traditional Filipino dishes, utilizing specialized cooking techniques and ensuring consistent taste, texture, and presentation. 4]
- **Menu Planning & Costing:** Assist in menu creation, scale recipes, and manage portion control to minimize food waste and optimize costs.
- **Hygiene & Safety:** Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards, complying with local food-handling regulations.
- **Inventory Management:** Monitor food supplies, procure fresh ingredients, and organize storage areas (e.g., using the FIFO method)
- **Team Collaboration:** Work with other kitchen staff, assist with catering orders, and train assistants on preparation and plating techniques.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- **Experience:** Typically 2-5 years of proven professional experience cooking authentic Filipino cuisine in restaurants, catering, or private VIP households.
- **Knowledge:** Deep understanding of Filipino culinary traditions, regional flavors, and indigenous ingredients.
- **Certifications:** Certifications in food safety (such as PIC-3 in the UAE) are highly advantageous.
- **Skills:** Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments, strong time management, and excellent communication
- Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
