Consultant Physician – Fetal Medicine

A well-established **government healthcare client** in the **Abu Dhabi Region** is seeking a highly experienced **Consultant Physician – Fetal Medicine** to join its specialized maternal and fetal healthcare team.

This is a remarkable opportunity for a specialist with advanced expertise in **prenatal diagnosis**, **fetal anomaly screening**, and **high-risk pregnancy management** to contribute to one of the region’s leading women’s health services.

Key Skills

  • Advanced expertise in **Fetal Medicine** and **High-Risk Obstetrics**
  • Strong experience in **Prenatal Diagnosis**, **Fetal Ultrasound**, and **Fetal Growth Monitoring**
  • Proficiency in **Fetal Anomaly Scans** and **Genetic Screening**
  • Expertise in managing **Multiple Pregnancies**, **Fetal Growth Restriction**, and **Maternal Complications**
  • Experience in **Invasive Prenatal Procedures** such as **Amniocentesis** and **Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS)**
  • Strong multidisciplinary collaboration and patient counseling skills

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced **fetal assessments**, **anomaly scans**, and diagnostic imaging
  • Diagnose and manage **complex fetal conditions** and high-risk pregnancies
  • Provide specialist consultations for maternal and fetal complications
  • Conduct and interpret **prenatal screening** and **genetic diagnostic procedures**
  • Develop individualized care plans for high-risk obstetric patients
  • Collaborate closely with **Obstetricians, Neonatologists, Genetic Specialists, and NICU Teams**
  • Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and pregnancy outcomes
  • Participate in **clinical audits**, **research**, and continuous quality improvement programs
  • Support education and training for junior doctors and multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

  • **MBBS or equivalent Medical Degree**
  • **Specialization in Obstetrics & Gynaecology**
  • **Fellowship / Board Certification / CCT in Fetal Medicine / Maternal Fetal Medicine**
  • Proven **Consultant-level experience in Fetal Medicine**
  • **DOH License / Eligibility** or equivalent UAE licensing is an advantage
  • Experience in **tertiary hospitals or advanced women’s healthcare centers** is highly preferred
