Construction Manager - Offshore

Position overview

Location and rotation

• The position is offshore on Das Island and rotational.
• Rotation is scheduled every 3 months, with 3 weeks of leave: 2 weeks of offshore rotation leave and 1 week deducted from annual leave in emergencies.
• The company coordinates transportation arrangements as required.

Construction and mechanical execution

• Direct site construction activities, resources, execution plans, method statements, schedules, and progress recovery.
• Coordinate Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, and HSE; review subcontractor plans and deliverables.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment, piping, auxiliary systems, and structural supports.
• Review mechanical drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and technical documents; resolve site queries.

Safety, quality, and leadership

• Enforce HSE policies, Permit-to-Work, risk assessments, and offshore safety requirements.
• Coordinate quality documentation and perform inspections, safety audits, and punch-list walkdowns.
• Lead site teams, liaise with clients and inspectors, report progress, and manage subcontractor performance and delays.

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Requires 10–15+ years of construction management experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Requires offshore oil and gas, petrochemical, or major industrial project experience and hands-on mechanical installation, testing, and commissioning experience.

Technical skills and certifications

• Requires knowledge of equipment, piping systems, and international codes including ASME, API, and ASTM.
• Requires proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project and MS Office, plus knowledge of execution methods, cost control, and resource management.
• BOSIET, HUET, or offshore survival certification is mandatory for deployment.
• PMP or equivalent, NEBOSH or IOSH, and a valid UAE driving license are listed as preferred qualifications.

Preferred experience

• ADNOC project experience or previous work on Das Island is strongly preferred.
