Construction Manager in Dubai

Role overview

Construction delivery

• Lead construction activities in line with approved drawings, specifications, programme, budget, and quality standards.
• Oversee excavation, shoring, dewatering, foundations, structural works, and associated temporary works.
• Review construction methods, sequencing, shop drawings, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and delays, and help develop construction strategies and recovery plans.
• Conduct site inspections, manage quality defects and corrective actions, and ensure compliance with designs and applicable regulations.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants, specialist trades, site teams, logistics, labour, plant, materials, deliveries, access, and sequencing.
• Monitor contractor performance and resolve technical or logistical constraints with project stakeholders.
• Support site-level cost control, identify potential variations and risks, attend coordination and progress meetings, and maintain clear reporting.
• Serve as a senior site contact for project leadership and support construction decisions when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of construction experience, including significant senior site or construction management experience.
• Experience managing complex projects from enabling works through structural and finishing stages.
• Hands-on experience with excavation, shoring, dewatering, foundations, piling, or other complex substructure works.
• Experience coordinating major contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Strong understanding of Dubai/UAE regulations, permitting, HSE standards, and local construction practices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills and ability to manage contractors and challenge decisions.
• Fluent English is required.
• Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore, Aconex, or similar.

Preferred experience

• Dubai/UAE project experience, ideally including delivery through the full construction cycle, is strongly preferred.
• Strong background in high-end hospitality, luxury residential, mixed-use, commercial, or other high-complexity construction.
• Experience delivering luxury hotels, resorts, ultra-luxury residential developments, or landmark commercial projects.
