Part-time, hybrid Compliance Officer position based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, with flexibility for some work from home.
Oversee compliance for civil construction and infrastructure projects, including regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor regulatory changes and review contracts and project documentation for compliance risks.
- Support development and implementation of internal controls.
- Prepare compliance reports and conduct internal audits and assessments.
- Work with project managers, finance teams, and senior leadership to address and remediate compliance issues.
- Help design training and awareness programs to promote a strong compliance culture.
Qualifications
- Strong compliance-management and regulatory-compliance skills, with experience applying relevant laws and standards to infrastructure or construction projects.
- Analytical skills to assess risks, interpret regulations, review documentation, and recommend practical solutions.
- Communication skills for clear reporting, stakeholder engagement, compliance briefings, and training.
- Foundational finance skills to understand budgets, project costs, and compliance-related financial implications.
- Construction or infrastructure experience, UAE regulatory familiarity, attention to detail, integrity, and independent working ability are beneficial.
- A bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field and prior compliance or audit experience are highly advantageous.
