Responsibilities

• Monitor business activities for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Review and update compliance procedures, policies, and internal-control documentation.
• Conduct compliance checks, risk assessments, and internal reviews to identify potential gaps.
• Support customer and business due diligence, including KYC documentation where relevant.
• Monitor suspicious or unusual transactions and escalate concerns through established procedures where applicable.
• Maintain compliance records, audit trails, and regulatory documentation.
• Guide relevant departments on compliance requirements and internal standards.
• Prepare reports and support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and corrective action plans.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in compliance, risk management, internal audit, or regulatory operations.
• Knowledge of relevant UAE regulatory requirements and industry-specific compliance standards.
• Familiarity with KYC, AML, due diligence, and risk assessment processes where applicable.
• Strong analytical thinking, documentation, problem-solving, communication, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.

Education and credentials

• A bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• CAMS or another recognized compliance qualification is advantageous, depending on the role.
