Role Description
The Country Manager – UAE will lead and manage the firm’s presence and activities within the United Arab Emirates market.
This is a part-time, remote role focused on market entry, growth, investment sourcing, and local ecosystem development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a UAE market-entry and growth strategy.
- Build relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, advisors, and partners.
- Identify early-stage technology companies aligned with the firm’s investment thesis.
- Conduct market and sector research, initial screening, and due diligence on potential investments.
- Report on the investment pipeline, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Represent the firm at relevant local events virtually or in person as appropriate.
- Coordinate with global investment and management teams.
- Support portfolio companies with local networking and business development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Strong background in investment, venture capital, or corporate finance, including early-stage technology company evaluation and financial and market analysis.
- Experience in UAE business development and partnership management.
- Knowledge of technology and innovation, particularly early-stage ventures, and the ability to assess commercial potential.
- Strategic planning and market-entry skills with country-level growth strategy experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English; Arabic is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity and collaborate with international teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is advantageous.
- Prior experience in UAE financial services, startup, or high-tech sectors and familiarity with local regulatory and business environments.
