Hiring for an HV testing and commissioning engineer described as DEWA approved.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of Protection and Control engineering experience, including SCMS/SCADA/RTU integration.
- Strong knowledge of protection relays, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, troubleshooting, snag resolution, and handover.
- Strong knowledge of sizing calculations and application engineering for capital equipment in a typical DEWA substation.
- Experience with Transmission and Distribution substations involving DEWA.
- Familiarity with DEWA protection and metering schemes for EHV/HV/MV/LV systems and applicable IEC/IEEE standards.
- Previous utility, substation, or power project experience is preferred.
- Candidates able to mobilize at short notice are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Test, pre-commission, commission, troubleshoot, resolve snags, and hand over protection and control systems.
- Coordinate with OEMs, DEWA consultants, and DEWA to progress engineering and obtain document and drawing approvals.
- Attend meetings with OEMs, DEWA consultants, and DEWA to follow up on engineering progress.
