Pastry kitchen duties
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing them before use.
- Safely use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances to prepare baked foods.
- Check appliance and food temperatures and report issues to management.
- Wash and disinfect the kitchen area, set up and break down the workstation, and follow sanitation procedures.
- Monitor food quality and portions throughout the shift.
Safety and team standards
- Follow food-safety handling policies and personal hygiene procedures.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect company assets, and keep proprietary information confidential.
- Communicate professionally and maintain positive working relationships while supporting team goals.
- Meet physical demands that include handling loads up to 25 pounds and standing or moving for extended periods.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Less than one year of related work experience is listed as a preferred qualification.
- No supervisory experience is listed; no license or certification is specified.
