Food preparation and cooking
- Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods.
- Cook according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Regulate cooking equipment temperatures and thaw frozen food in refrigeration.
- Ensure portions, arrangement, garnish, and food quality; maintain food logs and monitor food quality and quantity.
- Communicate assistance needs, excess food for daily specials, and menu specials or unavailable items to relevant colleagues.
Team and workplace duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and coaching employees.
- Follow safety, security, and quality procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and address guest service needs.
- Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, and support team goals.
- Role requires extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license or certification is specified as required.
