Prepare breads and pastries for the hotel, following recipes, quality expectations, presentation standards, and food-preparation checklists.
The role is full-time, non-management, and not remote.
Pastry production and food safety
- Prepare doughs and fillings, proof and bake products, and decorate pastries as appropriate.
- Use production sheets to plan daily baked goods and maintain food-safety logs.
- Use baking and measuring equipment safely; check food and appliance temperatures and report issues.
- Monitor food quality and portions, and tell the Chef about excess food for daily specials.
Teamwork and workplace standards
- Support management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, and employee motivation.
- Follow safety, security, and quality standards; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets; communicate professionally.
- Build positive working relationships, support common goals, and serve as a role model or mentor.
Preferred qualifications
- At least two years of related work experience is preferred.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is listed.
Physical requirements
- Move and handle objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Work across sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and reach, bend, twist, pull, or stoop.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
