Key duties
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to resort standards, recipes, and quality expectations; support daily kitchen section operations.
- Organize mise-en-place and ensure timely food production; maintain quality and portioning of Italian menu items.
- Inspect ingredients and follow safe storage, labeling, and stock rotation procedures.
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in line with HACCP, company guidelines, and local regulations.
- Minimize waste; support training of Commis III colleagues and kitchen trainees when required.
- Deliver food on time while maintaining quality and presentation; clean, maintain, and properly use equipment.
- Receive, store, and monitor stock; coordinate with other kitchen sections and assist with specials, seasonal menus, banquets, and events.
- Attend briefings and training, contribute to a professional team environment, and comply with company policies and local health and safety rules.
Candidate requirements
- One to two years of experience in a quality hotel, resort, or restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Good English communication skills are required; knowledge of an additional language is an advantage.
- Candidate should be a motivated team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and commitment to food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
