Role overview

Responsibilities

• Attend daily shift briefings and share ideas; uphold Fairmont’s mission, vision, and values.
• Ensure accurate storeroom requisitions and complete assigned work efficiently and to expected standards.
• Promote health and safety; follow Dubai Municipality hygiene requirements and complete required grooming, spot-check, and temperature-control sheets.
• Maintain cleanliness and correct product rotation in chillers; minimize waste and spoilage.
• Communicate with supervisors about operations, food consistency, and quality; check mise en place for freshness and quality.
• Assign and follow up on tasks as directed by supervisors and business volumes; seek development opportunities and attend courses when offered.
• Perform other reasonable duties requested by the department head.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commis 3 is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities; responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work cohesively with a team and focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous.

Physical aspects

• The position involves frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds; frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and sitting.
• Occasional use of ladders, stairs, and ramps.
