Immediate-joiner Commi Chef position based in Abu Dhabi.
Prepare café and event food, bakery items, desserts, and catering dishes while maintaining quality, hygiene, presentation, and kitchen efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare canapés, starters, finger foods, sandwiches, and catering menu items.
- Produce bakery and pastry items, including cakes, muffins, cookies, cupcakes, and decorative desserts.
- Decorate cakes and finish desserts and food presentation to company standards.
- Assist with menu development and seasonal food and bakery offerings.
- Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Support catering functions, birthday parties, and special events with food preparation and setup.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and consistency; follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP requirements.
- Store, label, and rotate ingredients; monitor stock, assist with ordering, and minimize food waste.
- Keep kitchen equipment, workstations, and preparation areas clean.
- Guide junior kitchen staff when required and ensure timely service during busy periods and events.
- Follow company policies, health and safety rules, and operational procedures; perform additional assigned duties.
Qualifications and requirements
- Immediate joiner required.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a commis chef, bakery chef, or in a similar role.
- Experience in bakery production, cake decoration, canapés, starters, and catering preparation.
- Good knowledge of customer service, food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; creative approach to food presentation and bakery decoration.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Culinary certification is an advantage.
Pay
- AED 2,500–2,800 per month.
