Position summary

Design, quotations, and customer support

• Gather project specifications and recommend products or solutions; prioritize requests by dealer tier, deadline, and queue order.
• Generate approximately 90 quotes per month and/or manage half a territory.
• Prepare 2D and 3D drawings, coloured renderings, and parts lists; review deliverables for accuracy.
• Present final drawings and pricing, educate customers about products, and recommend additional items.
• Coordinate custom requests with Engineering and obtain material up-charge details from Purchasing or Engineering.

Sales and coordination

• Increase sales and order size through cross-selling, upselling, add-on sales, and promotions.
• Coordinate the transition from quote to order with Customer Service and Order Analysts.
• Cover orders and territories for team members when needed.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate, or two years of related experience in interior design, industrial design, engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to interpret and recreate architectural drawings, floor plans, and written specifications.
• Knowledge of design software such as CET, AutoCAD, 20-20, Giza, or rendering software, plus Microsoft Word, Excel or Lotus, and email.
• Project management experience is an asset.
• Requires adaptability, organization, attention to detail, prioritization, teamwork, communication, basic mathematics, geometry, and algebra.
• Knowledge of the industry, products, space planning, and the order process is required.
