Commercial Manager
About This Role
The Commercial Manager is responsible for:
- Ensuring that the vessels under full management are managed according to the contractual terms stipulated in the respective management agreement;
- Ensuring that every Technical Superintendent is aware of the management agreement for the vessels under his control;
- Ensuring correct and timely preparation of quarterly account reports from both the full management Accounts Groups and the Technical Department;
- Controlling and monitoring the vessels budgets in close cooperation with the Technical Fleet Manager and the respective Technical Superintendent;
- Maintaining Channels of communication with Owners at all times;
- Being fully conversant with the Company s Management System;
- Implementing effectively the Company s Management System;
- Contributing to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures;
- Promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement;
- Executing special tasks and projects in accordance with direct instructions from the Directors;
- Preparing budget proposals in close cooperation/coordination with the Technical Fleet Managers and Technical Superintendents;
- Presenting the budget proposal to the Top Management for approval prior sending to the vessel owners;
- Ensuring that budget proposals at the end of each calendar year are sent to the vessel owners in due time. Relevant issues have to be followed up until the new budget has been agreed and approved;
- Monitoring CSM financial exposure on each Client, and informing Top Management where such exposure becomes significant.
The Commercial Manager is accountable to the Top Management.
