The heavy vehicle driver sells and delivers products directly to customers using a company vehicle.
The role combines sales, delivery, customer service, and stock management while pursuing sales targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to sell products, achieve sales targets, negotiate, persuade, promote new products and offers, and use upselling and cross-selling techniques.
- Good verbal customer communication and ability to explain product features and prices clearly.
- Fluency in English and two to three years of experience.
Sales and Delivery Duties
- Visit assigned retail shops, supermarkets, and customers on a daily route and introduce products, discounts, and promotions.
- Deliver customer orders safely and on time, verify quantities and product types, and issue invoices, receipts, or delivery notes.
- Submit daily sales collections and reports to the supervisor or accounts department.
Stock and Vehicle Duties
- Load products from the warehouse into the van and monitor stock levels during sales trips.
- Return unsold or damaged products to the warehouse and maintain sales, delivery, route, and inventory records.
- Keep the van clean, check fuel, tires, oil, and general condition, and follow traffic laws and company safety policies.
Customer and Market Reporting
- Report market feedback, stock shortages, and customer issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate daily records of sales, deliveries, routes, and inventory.
Work Arrangement
- The stated work location is in person.
