CNC Operator

About This Role

We are looking for a CNC Operator, or Computer Numerical Control Operator, who sets up, maintains, and operates computer-controlled machinery to fabricate precision metal or plastic parts. Key responsibilities include interpreting technical blueprints, loading raw materials, programming/adjusting machine settings, monitoring production, and inspecting finished parts using precision tools to meet specifications.

Core Responsibilities

• Setup and Operation: Preparing CNC machines for production, including loading programs and setting tools.
• Production Monitoring: Overseeing machinery during operation to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Precision Inspection: Measuring finished components using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn tools, as well as troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering instructions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers).
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and computer-controlled machinery.
• Basic math skills.

Common Daily Tasks

• Setting up machines with appropriate tools.
• Loading raw materials (metal/plastic) into the machines.
• Setting offsets and making tool adjustments.
• Performing "first-article" inspections to verify accuracy.
• Cleaning machinery and work areas.

Working Conditions
CNC operators typically work in manufacturing environments, such as machine shops or factories, which may be loud and require strict safety adherence.

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in CNC machining is a plus.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
