About This Role
Overview
The Azure & OpenShift Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the design, deployment, administration,
and optimization of DHA’s Microsoft Azure cloud services and OpenShift container platform.
The role
ensures availability, scalability, security, compliance, and operational excellence of the cloud and
container ecosystem while following ITIL-aligned managed services processes.
Azure Cloud Engineering & Operations
Provision, configure, and manage Azure resources including subscriptions, resource groups, policies, and governance controls.
Administer Azure compute and platform services such as:
Azure Site Recovery (ASR) (where applicable)
Implement and manage Azure networking:
Load Balancers / Application Gateway
Monitor and optimize Azure platform performance using:
Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Alerts
Enforce security controls and access governance:
o RBAC
o MFA
o JIT access
o Key Vault integration
Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives including workload onboarding and landing
zone alignment.
OpenShift / Container Platform Engineering
Deploy, configure, administer, and support Red Hat OpenShift clusters (on-prem or Azure).
Manage OpenShift platform services:
o cluster health and lifecycle operations
o worker/master node monitoring
o upgrades, patching, certificates, and security hardening
Support containerized workloads and operations:
o projects/namespaces, quotas, limits
o deployments, services, ingress/routes
o scaling and workload stability
Manage container registries and image lifecycle operations.
Troubleshoot OpenShift platform incidents affecting availability, performance, and service
continuity.
Integrate OpenShift monitoring/logging with tools such as:
o Prometheus, Grafana, EFK/Logging Stack (as applicable)
General Responsibilities
Participate in ITIL-aligned incident, change, problem, and access management processes.
Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
Provide L3 support and collaborate with vendors for issue resolution.
Generate dashboards, reports, and recommendations on platform performance, utilization,and security.
Support migration, upgrade, and transformation initiatives across cloud and virtualization
platforms.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED16,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
