SOOR seeks a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to manage, support, monitor, and secure enterprise application hosting environments.
The role is based at a client site.
Core responsibilities
- Maintain high availability, performance, and security of hosted environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot IIS and SQL Server; support web applications and production environments.
- Troubleshoot across network, security, application, and database layers.
- Manage SSL certificates, IIS security, authentication, and access controls.
- Use change management, incident management, and root cause analysis practices.
- Support Apache, Tomcat, Java-based applications, APIs, load balancing, and WAF as applicable.
- Maintain backup and disaster-recovery capability and conduct recovery testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience and proven experience in similar projects.
- Strong hands-on IIS and SQL Server administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience supporting web applications and production environments.
- Good knowledge of Windows Server, networking, web hosting, and cybersecurity controls.
- Experience with SSL certificates, IIS security, authentication, and access controls.
- Familiarity with change management, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with Apache, Tomcat, Java-based applications, APIs, load balancing, and WAF; knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and recovery testing.
